Traditional sweets and old fashioned sweets always bring back memories of the old sweet shop on the corner. You would take your pocket money along and see how many traditional sweets you could get for your 50p. There was nothing like picking through a bag of Sherbet Pips Strawberry Bonbons on the way back from the shop. Old fashioned sweets have simple flavours such as rhubarb and custard and strawberries and cream.
These traditional sweets are made with traditional processes using copper pans to receive the boiled and coloured sugar. Each copper pan is of a certain mould shape and size allowing for lozenge shaped and round traditional sweets to be produced. Our most popular traditional sweets include Cola Cubes, Pineapple Chunks and Lemon Sherbets. Some old fashioned sweets have strange and obscure flavours including cloves, blackcurrant and liquorice, chocolate limes and aniseed. Other than boiled sweets traditional sweets can take the form of old favourites like Sugar Mice, Liquorice Allsorts and Sweet Tobacco.
