No matter how weird, wacky and wondrous the sweets of today are, nothing can beat old classics. Here we will share with you some of our favourite retro sweets that are still available today…

Jelly Sweets are a unique texture and come in hundreds of different shapes and flavours. The Classic Jelly Beans are retro sweets that everybody is familiar with and is just as popular today as they were when they were first invented many years ago. These sweets are a mixture of chewy Turkish delight and the crunchy coating of Jordan Almonds and were first send to soldiers fighting in a Civil War. Since then Jelly Beans have been sold as penny sweets for many generations and are now available in too many different (and some extremely unusual) flavours to count and still taste just as delicious!

Some of our favourite retro sweets are those that remind us of our childhoods. Sweets that come in fun shapes make eating them even more exciting. Jelly Snakes are the classic option - delicious, fruity and slithery! However there are so many different shaped sweets to choose from, with some of our favourites being Strawberry Milkshakes, Terrific Turtles and even Jelly Lager Bottles. However exciting and wonderful retro sweets are, some of the best sweets are the traditional classics.
